Stanford University's Department of Neurosurgery is in search of a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to undertake responsibilities associated with the management of clinical research projects.

The studies may encompass gene and stem-cell therapies, pharmaceutical and device trials, longitudinal observational studies, and various principal investigator-led initiatives focused on pediatric and adult neurosurgical interventions.

The CRA will oversee moderately complex elements of multiple clinical studies while working closely under the guidance of the manager, senior coordinator, and principal investigator.

This role will support clinical research initiatives funded by industry, federal sources, and grants. There are pathways for long-term advancement within the team, or this position can serve as a stepping stone for a career in biomedical research.

  • Participate in monitoring visits and regulatory audits.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Possess the patience and resourcefulness to effectively interact with individuals and their families.
  • Knowledge of data-related research and the presentation of research findings.
  • Enjoy working directly with patients and their families.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education & Experience (Required):

A two-year college degree with two years of relevant work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required):

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, grasp forcefully, sort and file paperwork, or lift objects weighing over 40 pounds.

Working Conditions:

May require occasional evening and weekend hours, as well as overtime as necessary.

Work Standards:

Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external organizations.

Promote a Culture of Safety: Shows commitment to personal responsibility and values safety; communicates safety concerns; promotes safe practices based on training and lessons learned.
