Manufacturing Associate / Packaging Specialist
Compensation: $17/hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Night Shift 10 PM - 6:30 AM
Employment Type: Full-time
* Potential for hourly incentive bonuses of up to an additional $2/hour

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Associate / Packaging Specialist:
- The packaging specialist is tasked with executing two primary functions: the bagging process and the baling process. Proficiency in both operations is required as determined by the Shift Supervisors.
- Operate machinery efficiently while adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist in various production areas as necessary.
- Handle and secure finished products.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a minimum of 7 hours daily.
- Support the Shift Supervisors in initiating and halting the pellet mills.
- Report any moisture or material issues to the Shift Supervisor.
- Maintain a tidy work area.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Bagging Process:
- Responsible for operating a range of machinery, primarily bagging and baling machines, shrink wrap machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, and bag sealers.
- Stack bags on pallets, cover pallets, and place finished products in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurate completion of the Bagger production report is required, including filling pellet sample cups for quality control and tagging pallets with Quality Control information.
Baling Process:
- Stack bales on pallets, seal bales with an iron, and wrap pallets securely.
- Accurate completion of the Baler Operator production report is necessary, including checking bale weight and documenting information on various reports and quality control tags.
Qualifications/Education for the Manufacturing Associate / Packaging Specialist:
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in forklift operation and production lines is advantageous.
- Good hand-eye-foot coordination is essential.
- Must pass company forklift training.
- Ability to read and interpret scales is required.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are necessary for adjusting baler weight and timing, as well as addressing simple maintenance issues.
- Basic math skills are required.
