Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cold Heading Machine Operator for our second shift operations. This role involves the setup and operation of single and multi-die cold headers and forge pointers to manufacture high-quality automotive fasteners from cold metal rod or wire.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Setup Operators in the operation and configuration of machinery.
2. Select, install, and align dies, cutting tools, guides, and stops for machine setup.
3. Adjust machine controls to synchronize actions for various operations on workpieces.
4. Position coils of metal wire or rod on feed spindles and thread through straightening rolls.
5. Modify die settings as necessary to ensure products meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
6. Initiate production and monitor machine operations for malfunctions and product defects.
7. Perform regular maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of machines.
8. Maintain housekeeping standards by draining and cleaning oil trays, disposing of scrap, and sweeping the work area.
9. Complete all quality and safety documentation as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience operating single and multi-die header machines.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- Competence in completing routine production and quality reports.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
