  • Administer medication and treatments, take and record vital signs, and assist patients with physical therapy and personal hygiene.
  • Assess patient status by interviewing, screening, and performing diagnostic assessments.
  • Maintain complete and detailed records of patients' healthcare plans, services rendered, and case histories.
  • Document injuries in applicable reports and ensure compliance with applicable protocols.
  • Provide educational overviews of patient conditions, including diagnosis, treatment options, and medication requirements and applications.
  • Provide emergency intervention and care related to patient health needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. plus a degree or diploma from a state-approved professional nursing program.
  • 1 year of related experience.
  • Registered Nurse License.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Must pass local, state, and federal background checks and have a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:

Positions in this class typically require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Work is performed in an inherently stressful environment and involves risk to personal safety with the possible exposure to blood-borne and airborne pathogens.
