Position: Quality Control Specialist
Location: Fountain Inn, SC
Employment Type: Temporary Assignment
Shift: Sunday - Friday, 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Compensation: $19.50 per hour based on experience
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of automotive components and products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and classifying nonconforming materials in partnership with the Quality Engineer.
- Conducting scheduled internal audits of processes and products.
- Utilizing precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify product specifications.
- Documenting daily activities, including the delivery of replacement parts and performing inspections as necessary.
- Logging supplier-related issues in the quality management system and initiating returns when needed.
- Executing various testing protocols as required.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement initiatives across all corporate functions.
- Engaging in activities aimed at minimizing the costs associated with poor quality.
- Participating in containment and sorting tasks as required.
- Communicating quality-related updates to relevant stakeholders including Production Supervisors and Quality Engineers.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience in automotive quality assurance.
- Proficient in the use of calipers and gages.
- Experience in testing, data collection, and result communication.
- High School diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience may be considered.
- Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of GD&T and quality inspection methodologies.
- Familiarity with PPAP processes and root cause analysis.
- Ability to perform quality control data analysis.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
Tools and Technologies:
- Measurement gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
Salary Range: $19 - $19.50 per hour
