About the Role

The Provider Relations Specialist is a key member of the Cochlear Americas team, responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enrollment and Contract Management: Maintain current enrollment and contract status with all payers, ensuring compliance with licensing, re-enrollment, accreditation, and web portal registration requirements.
  • Payer Relations: Establish and maintain good working relationships with payers, resolving issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Billing and Reimbursement: Research and ensure compliance with payer billing requirements, including coding and jurisdictional issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Regularly communicate with cross-functional teams regarding enrollment and contracting status, and collaborate with business partners to resolve issues.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and maintain updates to reimbursement software and billing guides, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Documentation and Distribution: Ensure timely distribution of documentation to clinics and Cochlear field team members, and maintain accurate records.
  • Quality and Safety: Follow quality procedures to deliver high-quality products and services, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Suite and web-based applications.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication and messaging to fit the audience.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple priorities, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
