About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Maricamp Animal Hospital. As a vital member of our staff, you will play a key role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures and patient care
  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies
  • Monitor patient behavior and update medical records
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples
  • Perform clinical laboratory procedures
  • Assist with medicine delivery and administration
  • Handle approval for prescriptions and fill prescriptions
  • Contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the hospital and equipment

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and animal handling
  • Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) certification preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
