Job Summary

The DC Power Technician is a key role at ANS Advanced Network Services, responsible for the preparation and installation of DC power equipment, including batteries, rectifiers, and grounding systems. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work safely in live AC and DC power cabinets.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and turn-up of DC power equipment, including batteries, rectifiers, and grounding systems
  • Perform voltage, continuity, and resistance tests on electrical systems
  • Document procedures for hardware and software installation and use
  • Document technical specifications and operating standards for telecommunications equipment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • DC power certification
  • AC electrical experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The employee must be able and willing to travel locally to reach customer and network locations or local events and regularly work in outdoor weather conditions. Compliance with all Company safety procedures is a requirement.
