Key Responsibilities- Requirements Management: Utilize CORE and/or DOORS to capture, manage, and track requirements throughout the lifecycle of projects. Ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and aligned with project objectives.
- Specification Development: Create and maintain detailed specification documents, ensuring they accurately reflect system requirements and are compliant with industry standards and customer expectations.
- System Design and Analysis: Engage in the design and analysis of complex systems, ensuring integration and compatibility with existing systems. Perform trade studies and assessments to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and customers, to gather and refine requirements. Facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure a clear understanding of system needs and constraints.
- Configuration Management: Oversee configuration management processes to ensure all system components are properly documented and controlled. Manage version control and maintain traceability of requirements.
- Testing and Validation: Support the development of test plans and validate that systems meet all specified requirements. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during testing.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to requirements, design, and system performance. Provide regular updates and reports to project teams and management.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities for enhancing requirements management and specification documentation practices.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, with a strong emphasis on requirements management and specification documentation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CORE and/or DOORS management tools. Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies. Experience with requirements traceability, configuration management, and system validation.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
