Position Overview
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide essential care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, adhering to the scope of their licensure.
Department Details
+ Department: Stroke Intermediate Care
+ Schedule: Full-time and part-time options available, including day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
+ Assist in the assessment of patients and ensure their overall well-being.
+ Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
+ Conduct laboratory tests and provide therapeutic services as needed.
+ Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, and available resources for follow-up care.
Qualifications
Licensure and Certification:
+ Current BLS Provider certification is required within the first month of employment.
+ Valid Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credential from the appropriate nursing board is mandatory.
Education:
+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with relevant job experience.
