Plumbing Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Leader to join our team at CSG Talent. As a key member of our buildings engineering team, you will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary projects, leading the delivery of high-quality work, and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the plumbing team, fostering a culture of quality, trust, and openness.
  • Lead plumbing engineering design on projects, ensuring responsible charge responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Collaborate with clients to represent all disciplines of the firm, delivering high-quality engineering work to achieve internal project goals.
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships, leading and supervising staff on various projects.
  • Attend client-facing and OAC meetings, participating in local Professional Associations, including ASPE.
  • Participate in project pursuits, reviewing and preparing proposals or scoping documents.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and inclusiveness, coaching and assisting in skill development of individuals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
  • 10 years or more of proven experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic system components.
  • Professional US Engineering License or equivalent US Certified accreditation for plumbing discipline.
  • Experience leading project teams on medium to large-scale projects.
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work, and organize within our constantly evolving work environment.
  • Experience with 3D BIM/CAD software, such as AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP, or proficiency in mapping out the BIM process from a multi-disciplinary standpoint.
  • Familiarity with the importance of clash detection, multi-disciplinary planning, and assessing the quality of a model using tools like Navisworks or BIM360.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working, with presentation skills for colleagues and clients of all levels.
