This role is essential for overseeing the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring precision and punctuality.
- Internal Controls: Establish and uphold robust internal controls to guarantee adherence to financial regulations.
- Audit Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external auditors, fulfilling requests and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounts Management: Lead the processes for accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and inventory oversight.
- Reconciliation Review: Approve account reconciliations and journal entries to maintain accuracy.
- Payroll Collaboration: Work with HR to ensure precise payroll reporting and coding.
- Incentive Programs: Oversee the tracking and administration of incentive compensation initiatives.
- Capital Management: Supervise capital deployment, including reporting and reconciliation.
- Inventory Processes: Lead the cycle count program and manage physical inventory processes.
- Compliance Maintenance: Enforce adherence to the Levels of Authority document.
- Cash Management: Authorize ACH and wire payments.
- Global Alignment: Align financial processes across international operations.
- Process Improvement: Monitor financial procedures and identify enhancement opportunities.
- Special Projects: Participate in or lead special projects as needed.
Leadership and Communication
Foster collaboration across the organization to positively influence business outcomes. Effectively communicate with leaders from various departments and manage finance and accounting personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
- Preferred advanced degrees such as an MBA or a Master's in Accounting.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance and accounting.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
- Proficient in project management from inception to completion.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and standard office applications.
