About the Role

The Patient Care Coordinator-Insurance Expert will play a vital part in our administrative team at the Hearing and Speech Center of Florida. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Insurance Verification and Authorization
  • Verify insurance coverage for patients and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Collaborate with the medical billing team to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
Data Entry and Reporting
  • Utilize EHR systems to enter and manage patient data.
  • Run reports to track authorizations and identify trends.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with team members, Dr.'s offices, and patients to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in regular meetings to discuss patient progress and address concerns.
Administrative Support
  • Provide assistance to patients at the front desk as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of portals and medical front desk processes related to patient services and billing.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical front desk setting, preferably in a therapy practice.
  • Strong understanding of EMR systems and program software used for scheduling and billing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
