Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Services Coordinator to become a vital part of our team at Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Inc. In this role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our patients upon their arrival at the clinic. Your responsibilities will include managing patient check-ins and check-outs, as well as collecting any outstanding payments. You will also be tasked with retrieving insurance details for upcoming appointments to ensure a seamless experience for our patients.

Additionally, you will schedule follow-up appointments and surgical procedures as necessary. Key duties include generating reports, managing eyewear adjustments, obtaining necessary signatures on legal documents, and utilizing Microsoft Windows and Electronic Health Records systems.

While prior experience is advantageous, we are open to training a motivated candidate who demonstrates potential. Comprehensive hands-on training will be provided during the initial weeks of employment.

Travel Requirements
This position may require occasional travel to various locations for work-related purposes.

Working Hours
  • Primarily morning shifts, with some evening hours required.
  • Generally Monday through Friday, with rare Saturday shifts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately inputting and confirming patient demographic data.
  • Validating insurance eligibility.
  • Coordinating appointments and surgical schedules.
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain thorough patient documentation.
  • Working alongside physicians to finalize medical records.
  • Engaging professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Completing administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
  • Proficient in collecting and entering detailed information.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Capability to perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
