Position Overview

The role of the District Auditor entails the meticulous counting of all physical inventories, producing departmental audit reports, reconciling digital data with the physical counts conducted, and identifying discrepancies.

This position collaborates with various departments to enhance inventory accuracy and minimize errors.

Key Responsibilities


Conduct thorough accounting reviews at the store level during retail inventory assessments; work closely with District Managers and Store Managers to pinpoint store-related issues.

Formulate an initial audit timetable for the district, including a rotation of neighboring stores.

Support the Store Manager with invoice discrepancies, store organization, pricing adjustments, and any irregularities detected in the system.

Perform a visual inspection checklist at each store, documenting store conditions, maintenance needs, safety issues, marketing initiatives, and loss prevention measures.


Complete 15-20 retail inventory audits monthly, including lottery audits, importing data for processing to finalize audit documentation, generating reports, and entering data into the system while uploading/scanning relevant documentation.

Meet the established average per hour (APH) counting target while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the collected data.

Exhibit the ability to adapt to various work environments, with potential exposure to varying temperatures.


Communicate information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, fostering cooperation and building effective partnerships.


Proactively explore and propose innovative approaches that can enhance the quality and/or efficiency of job performance and organizational effectiveness; maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate urgency, and deliver high-quality results.

Fulfill additional job-related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting of products up to 25 lbs.

Repetitive motions requiring the use of both wrists and hands with counting devices.

Proficient in computer operations, including Microsoft Office and Open Office applications.

Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.

40-50 hour workweek with daily travel to various locations.

Reliable transportation is necessary for conducting audits throughout the designated market.
