Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Medical Care

We are seeking an experienced RN to take the next career step up into a nursing leadership position as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Medical Care Unit at Johnston-Willis Hospital.
About the Role:- Mentor and support your team to achieve the best outcomes for their adult patients who are acutely ill and recovering from a wide variety of nonsurgical medical and post-surgical conditions.
- Ensure and deliver high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the Medical Care Unit during the designated shift.
- Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serve as a resource person for staff, and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- 3+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- 1 year of medical surgical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred.
