We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team near Glenview, IL. This position offers the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning needs in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring alignment with state standards and student goals.
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, including academic, social, and behavioral interventions.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments that promote student success and growth.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and accommodations to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and data collection to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Illinois state Special Education teaching license.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Location: Glenview, IL
- Full-time, resource position
- LBS1 required
- Caseload: 5-7 students
- Hours - 8:20-3:50, M-F
