Position Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Professional to play a pivotal role in supporting our operations within our distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity of inventory for finished products across various distribution channels.
- Lead EHS initiatives at our facilities, establishing priorities, metrics, and goals for effective process integration.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to oversee Workers Compensation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advocate for a safety-oriented culture that aligns with DECIEM's innovative and compassionate values.
- Develop and implement training programs.
- Support initiatives related to Security and Loss Prevention.
- Conduct safety observations and provide on-the-spot coaching.
- Complete necessary OSHA documentation.
- Address daily EHS operational concerns in partnership with facility leadership.
- Serve as the primary contact for EHS-related matters with regulatory bodies.
- Conduct proactive risk assessments and inspections to formulate and implement control measures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in a leadership role.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing teams.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and project management abilities.
- Experience ensuring compliance in ISO-certified environments.
- Relevant educational background or equivalent experience in Environmental Sciences or Occupational Health and Safety.
