Job Summary

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Physician Leader to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading our clinical team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Leadership: You will be responsible for providing daily physician management and treatment of patients at our clinic/practice.
  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: You will provide clinical services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and referral.
  • Establish Office Policies: You will participate in the establishment of office policies, procedures, and medical protocol necessary to provide physician clinic services.
  • Refer Patients to Specialists: You will appropriately refer patients to medical specialists.
  • Comply with BHMG Policies: You will comply with Baptist Health's policies, procedures, and pricing.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records: You will utilize the EPIC computer system for charting.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance: You will participate in the clinic/practice's quality assurance and quality improvement plan.
  • Collaborate with Administration: You will work with Administration to ensure that the program operates in a manner consistent with appropriate medical policy and current professional standards in specific area of care.
  • Participate in Community Events: You will participate in community events and periodic public relations calls as time permits.
  • Communicate with Patients and Payers: You will maintain appropriate telephone contact with patients, payers, and pharmacies.
  • Perform Physical Exams: You will perform physical exams, including routine examinations, DOT examinations, post-offer examinations, executive physicals, commercial drivers license examinations, annual examinations, and school/sport physicals, where applicable.
  • Serve as Medical Review Officer: You may serve as Medical Review Officer for drug screens.
  • Direct On-Site Laboratory Services: You may serve as Director for on-site Laboratory services if applicable to specific site.
Requirements
  • Current Valid License: You must have a current valid and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Indiana.
  • DEA Registration: You must have a current valid and unrestricted DEA registration number.
  • Professional Liability Insurance: You must be eligible at all times to be insured for professional liability insurance.
  • Board Certification: You must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in an appropriate specialty.
  • BCLS Certification: You must have BCLS certification.
