Job Title: Associate Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team at Jobot. As a boutique firm specializing in trusts and estate planning, we are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to help us deliver exceptional legal services to our clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trusts and Estates Attorney to work on a broad spectrum of legal matters, including trusts, probate, asset protection, and tax planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning and administration, and a deep understanding of applicable tax laws.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all aspects of trusts and estate planning, including drafting wills, living trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Manage all phases of the probate and estate administration process, including asset distribution, debt settlement, and tax compliance.
  • Develop and implement effective asset protection strategies to minimize clients' exposure to potential liabilities and risks.
  • Advise clients on tax planning matters, including estate, gift, and income tax implications of estate planning strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure the provision of high-quality legal services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends pertaining to trusts, estates, asset protection, and tax planning.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary, and effectively negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida state bar and in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on trusts, probate, asset protection, and tax planning litigation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting complex wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Proven ability to handle probate and estate administration matters efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws as they relate to estate planning.
  • Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
