Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our growing Real Estate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions and a proven ability to manage complex matters independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Represent clients in the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, and financing of commercial properties.
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, joint ventures, and financing documents.
- Advise clients on zoning, land use, and regulatory matters affecting commercial real estate.
- Assist clients with due diligence, title reviews, environmental concerns, and closing preparations.
- Work closely with developers, investors, and institutional lenders to structure transactions that align with client goals.
- Provide strategic advice on real estate investments, real estate portfolios, and property development.
- Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local real estate laws and regulations.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar (in good standing) where the position is located.
- 7+ years of experience practicing real estate law with a focus on commercial real estate transactions.
- Proven ability to manage complex real estate matters independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong client service orientation and the ability to build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with real estate financing, including familiarity with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), mezzanine loans, and other financing structures.
- Knowledge of zoning, land use, and regulatory processes in commercial development.
- Experience representing clients in large-scale real estate development projects.
