Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Perform daily patient rounds to monitor progress.
  • Evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications.
  • Consult with supervising physicians regarding patient health status.
  • Document patient progress and discharge summaries accurately.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management.
  • Order necessary laboratory and diagnostic tests as directed.
  • Administer medications and write admission orders under supervision.
  • Assist in surgical procedures as needed.
  • Provide in-service training and consultation to nursing staff.

Qualifications:
  • Active Florida License and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
  • Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree is advantageous.
  • Prior experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred.
