As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-stocked and organized HBC department, and driving sales through effective display building and inventory management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the HBC department is well-stocked, organized, and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
  • Build displays to drive incremental sales and create an attractive shopping environment.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, addressing their requests and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Apply proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves, rotated, and within easy customer reach.
  • Ensure merchandise is in saleable condition, with correct prices and signs, and store excess merchandise according to backroom organization guidelines.
  • Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries, as well as baling cardboard or other related duties, if properly trained.
  • Ensure smooth function of the department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors, and continuously improving job performance.
  • Responsible for utilizing all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without an accommodation. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.
