Dedicated Special Education Teacher

The LEEP Dual Language Academy Charter School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a dedicated professional, you will play a vital role in providing engaging and rigorous instruction to students in grades K-5.
**Job Summary**
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's IEP.
- Evaluate student progress and determine the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques.
**Responsibilities**
- Assess students' learning styles and develop tailored strategies to meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices.
- Analyze student data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to school administrators.
**Benefits and Compensation**
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. The starting compensation will depend on multiple factors including professional experience, education, and certifications. **Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification or currently on the pathway to certification.
- Fluency in English and Spanish languages.
