About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to supporting students' social-emotional and academic development, as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inclusive curricula that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with families and Special Education teams to create tailored 504 and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters student empowerment.
- Analyze student progress, ensure compliance with IEPs, and manage caseloads effectively.
- Deliver high-quality instruction through various formats, including pull-out, push-in, small groups, and one-on-one sessions.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience in K-12 education, preferably in urban settings.
- Academic expertise in Special Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, or related fields.
- A commitment to anti-racism and diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
Compensation and Benefits:
