Key Responsibilities:
  • Train, supervise, and schedule operations staff
  • Supervise inmate population, including meals, work periods, visitation, and furloughs
  • Conduct intake on inmates when necessary
  • Evaluate operations staff after probationary period and annually thereafter
  • Organize and facilitate staff meetings with operations staff
  • Implement security and operation policies and procedures
  • Ensure safety and welfare of inmates, staff, and visitors
  • Delegate responsibility for operation and security of the center
  • Ensure all counts are conducted according to written policy
  • Facilitate safety and emergency procedures
  • Conduct written facilities inspections
  • Participate in department head meetings and clinical staff meetings
  • Supervise operations department documentation and data entry
  • Clock in and out using company time and attendance system
  • Attend mandatory training and report all Workers Compensation injuries and breaches of company policy
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Four years of experience in delivery of services to residents, offenders, or inmates
  • Bachelor's Degree may substitute for two years of experience
