We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Hematology and Oncology department at Westchester Medical Center Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients with cancer and blood disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Patient Care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, order diagnostic tests, and develop personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Support Inpatient and Outpatient Services
- Round with attending physicians, perform admission H&Ps, and complete progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Provide clinical support to our Infusion Center as needed.
- Develop and Implement Care Management Plans
- Order diagnostic testing and therapeutic treatments.
- Counsel patients and their families on their medical diagnoses and treatment options.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff education and community outreach.
- Background in inpatient Internal Medicine with a preference for or experience in oncology.
- Board certification and licensure in New York State.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
