Physician - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation within the Department of Internal Medicine at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. As a member of our team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, conducting ambulatory clinics and performing physical examinations to assess medical or surgical needs. You will also order special procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services, and determine, prescribe, and implement treatment plans and/or medications required. Additionally, you will educate patients and promote wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials, resources, and services to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and participate in quality assessment and improvement activities
- Serve as preceptor and provide bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate and graduate students, nursing staff, and other allied medical professionals in specialty area
- Ensure continuing medical education requirements are met
- Participate in department, college, medical center, and university committees and other service activities
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Internal Medicine required; active certification from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) required
- Completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine and a fellowship training program in physical medicine and rehabilitation required
- Advanced training or board certification in Pain Management
