Position Overview

The Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in executing standard general chemistry evaluations and preparing samples in accordance with established company or regulatory protocols. This position also encompasses administrative support and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and monitor analytical sample requests
  • Engage with project managers to gather essential information
  • Coordinate testing activities with fellow analysts in the Analytical Section
  • Conduct routine chemical and physical testing in-house
  • Oversee and maintain basic analytical instruments
  • Ensure the laboratory environment is safe and orderly
  • Document analytical results with precision
  • Adhere to the company's Integrated Management System along with all relevant policies and procedures

Education & Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Associate degree or B.S. in a Science-related discipline with one year of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma (or GED) with three years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills

  • Strong planning and organizational abilities
  • Capability to accurately execute analytical procedures and administrative duties
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office)
