Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families on disease management and self-care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families, and serve as a resource for patients with complex medical needs.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- 2 years of experience in cardiology or a related field.
- Efficient in EKG interpretation and able to perform stress testing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- BSN degree or higher.
- Specialized certifications in cardiology or a related field.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
