Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial accounting and reporting services to our clients, including the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other regulatory filings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting and Reporting
    • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and other regulatory filings for our clients.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial reporting and accounting tasks.
  • Cash and Journal Entries
    • Review and reconcile daily cash contributions and distributions for our clients.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cash and journal entries.
  • Quarterly and Annual Audit Functions
    • Participate in quarterly and annual audit functions, including the preparation of audit schedules and the review of audit findings.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Open Items List and Auditor Communications
    • Assist with the preparation and review of the open items list and auditor communications.
    • Ensure timely and effective communication with auditors and clients.
  • Client Communication and Support
    • Provide regular communication and support to clients, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ensure excellent client service and satisfaction.
  • Professional Development and Growth
    • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
    • Contribute to the growth and success of the team and the organization.

Requirements

  • Accounting Degree and Experience
    • Hold a degree in accounting or a related field.
    • Have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in fund accounting or a related field.
  • Technical Skills and Knowledge
    • Have strong technical skills and knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Soft Skills and Personal Qualities
    • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Have a strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
