Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Harvard University in the field of biophysics. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment with Prof. Mara Prentiss' group, performing experimental studies of RecA family protein mediated homologous recombination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to investigate DNA protein interactions
  • Monitor protein interactions using bulk and single molecule techniques
  • Collaborate with groups in the Biology Department at Northeastern University and the IBPC in Paris
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology or a related field
  • Experience in designing and executing in vitro and in vivo experiments
  • Knowledge of protein purification, characterization, and cellular assays
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing bacterial culture for protein expression and cloning
  • Experience with protein purification using chromatography systems and protein characterization using SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis., and fluorescence spectroscopy
