About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our nation's veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics, including disease management, medication management, and self-care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • At least one year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to a Nurse I, Level 1; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience.
