Loss Prevention Officer Job Description

We're Rosauers Supermarkets, a local neighborhood grocery store dedicated to fostering a community of food enthusiasts. Our team is passionate about curating memorable shopping experiences for each customer. We're seeking an eagle-eyed loss prevention officer to monitor the movement of our stock.

The Opportunity

The loss prevention officer will be responsible for conducting surveillance, detecting and acting on suspicious activity, and ensuring the recovery of stolen items. Where necessary, you should involve the authorities. To be successful in this role, you should possess the ability to conceal yourself in plain sight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular store walks to identify potential security risks and suspicious activity.
  • Approach and question individuals who seem to be acting suspiciously.
  • Apprehend any person who commits theft in compliance with company procedures.
  • Document theft and other security incidents, and provide eyewitness accounts as needed.
  • Work with law enforcement to detain suspects of shoplifting or dishonest employees.
Requirements
  • Must be 21+ years or older.
  • Complete a pre-employment background check.
