About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Customer Service Representative to join our Quote Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating service projects, ensuring customer satisfaction from request to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quote Execution and Entry: Responsible for executing and entering parts quotes, including price review, delivery, release, and work scope/planning activities.
  • Scheduling and Material Sourcing: Works closely with the operations team to schedule work and ensure material sourcing plans support customer promise dates.
  • Technical Support: Facilitates technical questions and answers between customers, Emerson engineering resources, and other stakeholders.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicates with the sales channel and service center team to ensure expectations and commitments are met consistently and within acceptable time frames.
  • Parts Sourcing and Procurement: Sources, procures, and expedites parts and materials needed, and forecasts needs for peak periods.
  • Negotiation and Vendor Management: Negotiates with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best price for required delivery and researches/develops sources and alternatives when necessary.
  • Project Monitoring and Delivery: Remains up to date on all progress of service projects and negotiates delivery prior to order entry, advising sales channels/customer of delays.
  • Adherence to Safety and Quality Standards: Adheres to all safety, quality, company rules, and regulations, and participates in Safety, Quality, and Activities Committees.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduate/GED
  • Experience: 1 year customer service experience
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service, time management, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking abilities, technically savvy with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
  • Authorization: Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience: Prior experience with process controls, technical, industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or related industries
  • Technical Skills: Experience with a Relational Database Management System (such as Oracle)
