Job Overview:
Satellite System Engineers at Nightwing are responsible for supporting global data management projects with regional operations. This role involves leading satellite engineering activities and operations, including on-orbit operations, vehicle trending, ground system support, and anomaly resolution.

About the Role:
This position is a contingency-based opportunity that requires funding, an open position, customer approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and successful TS/SCI with polygraph clearance Day 1. As a Satellite System Engineer, you will lead activities and projects in support of satellite readiness, on-orbit operations, and program disposal.

Responsibilities:
- Lead satellite state of health activities and be responsible for transmitting, receiving, and logging satellite communications.
- Interact with senior-level stakeholders at both the customer and company level to provide daily feedback.
- Coordinate with space system developers and other stakeholders regarding ground hardware configuration for commanding capabilities.
- Perform analysis and technical leadership to resolve anomalies and conflicts.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience working with global communications engineering projects.

Estimated Salary:
$85,000 - $110,000 per year based on location and qualifications.
