Salary: $7.50 per hour plus tips
Glen Rose Coffee Company is seeking to employ a dedicated team of skilled baristas to enhance our customer experience.
This role involves working during daytime hours, as our establishment operates from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please note that hours may be adjusted as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patrons as they arrive at the coffee shop.
- Provide customers with beverage menus and address any inquiries about ingredients.
- Accurately take orders while considering customer preferences for coffee blends, dairy options, and sweeteners.
- Craft beverages according to established recipes.
- Serve drinks and food items, including pastries, cookies, breakfast, and select lunch offerings.
- Handle transactions, processing both cash and credit payments.
- Maintain cleanliness in the bar area.
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean mugs and plates.
- Adhere to health and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of operating an espresso machine.
- Familiarity with sanitation practices.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to understand and meet customer preferences.
- Strong communication abilities.
- A high school diploma is required; relevant training is advantageous.
Job Type: Part-time
Work Environment: Coffee shop setting
Schedule: 5-7 hour shifts, Daytime, Monday to Sunday
Tips: Additional income through tips
Experience: 1 year as a Barista preferred; training available for the right candidate.
