PA/NP Role in Family Medicine at Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services to veterans at the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center.
About the Job: As a Family Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for conducting routine physical exams, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and developing treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to patients in an outpatient setting
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as needed
- Recommend treatment and/or referral as necessary
Scope of Care:
- Provide Family Practice and interventional Family Practice consultative services to patients in the Primary Care team setting
- Conduct clinic appointments and follow-up of labs/imaging/procedures ordered during these appointments
- Interpret test results and communicate with hospitalists and intensivists on inpatients
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited PA or NP program
- NAACP certificate for PAs
- One year of experience as a PA or NP in a Family Medicine setting
- Active, Unrestricted License to practice as a PA or NP from one of the 50 states or U.S. Territories
Salary and Benefits: Estimated salary of $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits plan.
