Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes for Waste Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, noting issues on the DVIR form.
  • Report unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch.
  • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings.
  • Work with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
  • Perform all duties as scheduled, assisting other company drivers as directed.
  • Notify Route Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
  • Position containers on the customer's property, ensuring lids are properly replaced and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
  • Follow route assignments and complete all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route.

Requirements

  • Commercial Drivers License B (CDL).
  • Acceptable driving record required.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
