Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse III- D5N/D5E: Neuroscience role at Albany Medical Center is a key position in our Neuro Progressive Care team. As a skilled and compassionate nurse, you will contribute to creating a caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues. Responsibilities:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.

Requirements:

As a Clinical Nurse III- D5N/D5E: Neuroscience, you will be expected to ensure that access to information is based on a 'need to know' and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties. You will also be responsible for using or disclosing information in a way that does not exceed the minimum amount needed to accomplish an intended purpose, and making reasonable efforts to ensure that information is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification.
