Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist II is a key member of our diagnostic radiography team, responsible for preparing patients and operating x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures independently and/or assist physicians/APCs as needed.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Operate x-ray equipment, including fluoroscopy and portable units, to obtain high-quality images.
  • Assist with inpatient and outpatient procedures, including emergency room and operating room cases.
  • Ensure proper equipment performance and maintenance, adhering to radiation safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiography program, with certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, with ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R) and applicable state licensure.
  • Knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws, with ability to properly utilize personnel monitoring devices.
