Salary Range and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $77,000 to $163,000 annually. RTX provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

As a Senior Mechanical Casting Producibility Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborating with the hardware design team to optimize casting designs and enhance producibility
  2. Developing and implementing producibility assessments and Design for Manufacturing & Assembly engagements to reduce costs
  3. Providing technical support to critical casting suppliers to ensure successful product delivery
  4. Evaluating supplier capabilities and readiness to meet contractual obligations
  5. Resolving process issues at suppliers to improve yields and quality
  6. Engaging in supplier development initiatives to foster strategic partnerships
  7. Frequent travel to support casting suppliers and participate in project meetings

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, along with 5 years of relevant experience. Your expertise should include familiarity with 'near net shape' technologies, such as investment, sand, and/or die casting processes. Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, as well as Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), is highly desirable. A U.S. government issued security clearance is mandatory.
