Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at JACKMONT HOSPITALITY INC. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods according to recipe requirements and adhering to product sensitivities and plate presentation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food to meet TGI Friday's standard of excellence, following recipe requirements and adhering to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines.
  • Keep updated on recipe changes and ensure proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain a high quality and consistent product.
  • Keep entire kitchen clean, stocked, and set up for rotation.
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems with the service staff, kitchen staff, and managers.
  • Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station, breaking down and cleaning station thoroughly every day.
  • Requisition products on a timely basis and operate and maintain equipment properly.
  • Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
  • Ensure proper rotation of all products and stock products to par, labeling, day dotting, and signing all products.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.
Requirements
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks while maintaining required standards of operation in daily activities.
  • Must be able to perform duties that ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Must produce items exactly according to recipe to ensure guest satisfaction and control food costs.
  • Must follow food handling and sanitation procedures to control food costs and ensure guest and team member safety.
  • Must be able to read guest orders and hear kitchen, window person, and/or manager requests in the midst of loud background noise.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
Qualifications
  • Must have a strong passion for food preparation and presentation.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Must be able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Working Conditions

The Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, steam, and noise. The Cook must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and move quickly and efficiently in a busy kitchen.
