Lead Protection and Control Specialist

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled Lead Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a key member of our Substation Engineering department, you will be responsible for reviewing and developing protection and control philosophies for high voltage substations.
Key Responsibilities- Review and develop protection and control philosophies for high voltage substations
- Design, installation, and coordination of protection and control systems
- Experience with various vendor protective relay equipment and design codes and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- BSEE with a power systems or controls emphasis from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- 10 or more years of experience with a focus on protection / control / telecommunications for high voltage substations
- Experience with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Familiarity with design codes and standards, such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI
