Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant and Activity Specialist to join our team at WellSpan Health. This role will involve working collaboratively to facilitate a stable and smooth operation of the unit, providing therapeutic interventions in accordance with best practice guidelines, care plans, and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and monitors the activities of the individual's plan of care.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities of the nursing assistant job description.
  • Provides direct care to patients primarily assisting with behavioral symptom management techniques and to assist patients in adapting to and/or coping with internal and external stresses.
  • Provides assistance to the care team in development of and updating the care plan and discharge planning.
  • Promotes patient attendance and participation in activities and documents participation.
  • Provides practical help and side-by-side coaching, problems solving, training, and assistance to help patients with their activities of daily living and concerns.
  • Provides direct care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
  • Assists the team members in the care and needs of the patients.
  • Assists with performance improvement measures and improving outcomes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 1 year Healthcare experience. Required
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • Certified Nurse Aide Upon Hire Preferred
