Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Storeroom Clerk to join our team at Shearer's Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of our computerized maintenance management system, including administration of work orders, preventive maintenance logs, parts procurement, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance storeroom stock and ensure that all inventories are maintained at necessary levels.
  • Order, receive, unpack, check, store, and track merchandise specifically related to equipment/facility maintenance spare parts and supplies.
  • Sort, organize, and mark items with identifying codes.
  • Perform routine analysis of inventories, cycle counts, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate closely with the MRO Supervisor as it relates to KPIs and financial targets.
  • Communicate with vendors and manufacturers on a regular basis for the procurement of goods, warranty returns, and other equipment control processes.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with placing orders and handling outgoing shipments.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, making copies, sending faxes, and answering phones.
Requirements
  • Two-year technical degree or high school education or GED equivalent plus 5 years of manufacturing or inventory management experience.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMMS, inventory tracking, and tagging systems.
  • Interpersonal skills and knowledge of Windows applications including Excel and Word.
Working Conditions

The Storeroom Clerk position is located in a manufacturing environment, which includes exposure to high temperatures, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, loud noise level, allergens, elevated heights, and hot surfaces.
