Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Lounge Barback to join our team. As a key member of our bar staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.

Responsibilities
  • Retrieve orders from the storeroom and visually check stock against written requisitions to ensure accuracy.
  • Cut, slice, and peel perishable garnishes and fruits, mix and pour juices as needed.
  • Check and assist the bartender in maintaining adequate supplies, including stir sticks, napkins, matches, and other essentials.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration, and storage areas to meet health code standards.
  • Scoop ice from ice bins, transport it to service areas, and replenish ice containers as needed.
  • Box and save empty liquor bottles for later returns and requisitions.
  • Transport taps, replace, and perform routine maintenance on heavy beer kegs.
Requirements
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues.
  • Basic mathematical skills to ensure proper delivery amounts and understand portion sizes.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs, and extend arms overhead to stock items.
  • Ability to comprehend written product labeling instructions to ensure safe application of products and processes.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 150 lbs.
  • Ability to perform duties in various temperature ranges, from normal to refrigerated.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to adapt to different audiences.
