We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technologist to lead our Imaging Services team at Wellstar Paulding in Hiram, Georgia.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring efficient and professional diagnostic procedures, and assisting with scheduling personnel. They will also be responsible for providing safe and age-appropriate care to patients, performing technical, clerical, and leadership tasks, and mentoring fellow technologists.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff to ensure efficient and professional diagnostic procedures
  • Assist with scheduling personnel to ensure adequate staff coverage
  • Provide safe and age-appropriate care to patients
  • Perform technical, clerical, and leadership tasks
  • Mentor fellow technologists
  • Oversee supply management and practices in a cost-effective manner
  • Audit clinical incomplete reports daily and resolve any outstanding issues
  • Participate in the implementation of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology required
  • BS degree in Health Sciences or related field preferred
  • Registered Medical Sonographer, Certified MRI Technologist, ARRT Computed Tomography, ARRT Mammography, ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging, ARRT Nuclear Med Technology, ARRT Sonography, or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Three years' experience in modality required; one year supervisory experience preferred
Work Environment

This role is based in Hiram, Georgia, and requires frequent communication with physicians, patients, visitors, departmental staff, and nursing staff. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
