Job Summary

International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support our medical team in providing high-quality patient care. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in preparing the operating room, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, and assisting the surgical team throughout procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Assemble surgical instruments, equipment, and necessary supplies to ensure a smooth and efficient procedure.
  • Assisting the Surgical Team: Assist in the positioning of patients, maintain a sterile field, and ensure compliance with established infection control standards.
  • Instrument Management: Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical team during operations, and clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Post-Procedure Care: Assist with post-operative care, including transferring patients to recovery areas and ensuring a smooth transition.
Qualifications
  • Certifications: The CST certification offered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience as a Surgical Technician, including at least six months out of the past year.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited surgical technician program or have the military equivalent training course with Certificate of Completion.
Additional Requirements
  • US Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT.
  • Relocation: Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
