We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our Physics Department as a tenure-track faculty member. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our undergraduate physics program, as well as contributing to the development of our Engineering Program.
Responsibilities- Teach and mentor students in introductory and upper-level physics courses, including Introduction to Engineering Design and upper-level engineering courses.
- Develop and maintain an active research program that involves undergraduate students and is attractive to external funding.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our Engineering Program, including directing the program and supporting student endeavors.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a closely-related field. Postdoctoral research, industrial experience, and/or prior teaching experience are desirable additional qualifications.
